Our Baby Turned One!

Our Baby Turned One!

Our littlest one turned one recently. Boy was this a bitter sweet moment in time. Our last kid has passed by her littlest stage. We were trying to figure out how to celebrate this moment in time. We also have our third born's birthday a week after Little One. We decided to do a dual birthday party. How fun and intimidating. Originally Little Guy wanted a Thomas the Train party and I just couldn't figure out what to do for the girl side of that party. He mentioned a Mickey Mouse Party and we went with it. So here is our version of a Mickey and Minnie party.

Our Sweet Little One in her Minnie Mouse outfit. She is looking mighty happy to be one!
Here's Little Guy in his Mickey getup. We had a hot digity dog bar for lunch. We offered hot dogs and everything we could think of to pair with them. We had coleslaw, chili, sauerkraut, onions, relish and the typical condiments.
Here is our Minnie Cake complete with figurine.
Here is our Mickey Cake with it's little figurine. Of course we had plush animals to match up.
Here is Little One with her smash cake. She actually ended up consuming a lot more cake then I would have expected.
We did red plastic tablecloths for most of the tables. I used black polka dotted wrapping paper as table runners. We hung polka dotted balloons from the ceiling, in both red and black.
So hubby made a race track for entertainment. We brought all sorts of cars, monster trucks and super monster trucks for them to race. It was a hit! It turned into more of a hit when this happened.
This was an unintended activity! Usually those are the most fun. The kids were supposed to do toilet paper bowling, but figured out that spreading around the toilet paper was much more fun.

We had a Pluto's Lost Dog Bone Hunt. After scattering dog bones outside, the kids got to hunt for them and then turn them in for ring pops.

We would never have been able to pull this off without the help of family and friends. We are so blessed to have all these people in our lives. Thank you! We love and cherish you!
